Stranraer Comedy Club: A Night of Laughter You Can’t Miss!

A brand-new night of top-tier stand-up comedy is coming to Stranraer! On April 25th, from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM, the Stranraer Millennium Centre will host the very first Stranraer Comedy Club—a historic moment for the local comedy scene! This inaugural event promises an unforgettable evening of laughter, headlined by some of the finest comedians working today.

A Star-Studded Line-Up

Chris Forbes – Headliner

Star of BBC’s Scot Squad and an award-winning comedian, Chris Forbes is one of the most in-demand comics in the UK. Having performed all over the world—from America to Canada, Australia to Dubai—Forbes is a true comedy powerhouse. A regular on the UK comedy circuit, he has also supported Kevin Bridges on tour and amassed over 20 million views online with his genius character creation, Duncan Murray – The Other Murray Brother. His sold-out live shows alongside Judy Murray have been a sensation, and his writing credits include acclaimed BBC sketch shows ‘How Do I Get Up There?’ and ‘The Farm’.

Jeannie Jones – Compere & MC

Holding the night together with quick wit and effortless charm, Jeannie Jones is a true professional. A well-known face on the Scottish comedy scene, Jeannie juggles her career as a medical doctor with her life as a stand-up comedian. She has hosted major events for the British Medical Association and the John Hartson Foundation, performed at major UK comedy festivals—including the Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton, Leicester, Coventry, and Glasgow—and even taken her talents across Europe. A rising star with a penchant for self-deprecating humour, Eddy Midgley turns his quarter-life crisis into side-splitting comedy gold. John O’Brien AKA Obie – Middle Act

A veteran of the Scottish comedy circuit, Obie has been making audiences laugh for over 20 years. With performances spanning Australia, Germany, Ireland, and Amsterdam, he is one of the most naturally talented comedians on the circuit. A master of surreal storytelling, keen observations, and unexpected philosophical musings, Obie’s ability to react in the moment makes him a force to be reckoned with. A regular headliner at clubs like The Monkey Barrel, Yesbar, and Enterteasement, he’s also a festival favourite, having built a loyal audience at the Edinburgh Fringe over the past 12 years.
