Kickstart Hub
This project is designed to do far more than offer discounted room hire, it creates opportunities that bring people together, spark new ideas and strengthen the local economy. By making it easier for new instructors/organisers to start or bring classes to the centre, we open the door to a wider range of activities for local residents, from fitness and wellbeing sessions to creative workshops and community meet-ups.
For the community, this means more chances to connect, learn and stay active. Affordable start-up rates help instructors. Organisers take their first steps without heavy costs, or be able to bring existing classes out with the centre, to the centre encouraging micro-businesses and sole traders to grow and keep their earnings within the local economy. The marketing and branding support included in the package gives organisers valuable skills in promotion and digital presence, skills they can carry forward as their classes become established.
The project also helps build confidence and capacity. Local people can test ideas, develop entrepreneurial abilities and collaborate with others in a safe, supportive environment. This naturally leads to partnerships between instructors/ organisers, community groups and local organisations, strengthening the network of services available to residents.
New classes mean more opportunities for physical activity, creativity and social connection, all of which support health and wellbeing across different age groups.
