Job Purpose:
To deliver and support the project (Stranraer Millennium Centre) and projects that benefit the community, ensuring high-quality services are provided in line with organisational goals. The role involves working directly with users, participants, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively, and at a high level of standards that the users of Stranraer Millennium Centre and our community expects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
Support the implementation of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Work directly with project users and participants to provide guidance, support, and assistance tailored to their needs.
Every position within the project is required to support its operations by ensuring cleanliness, processing payments, issuing invoices, and responding promptly to phone calls and emails to maintain smooth, efficient, and professional service delivery.
Participant Engagement:
Build positive relationships with project users and participants to encourage their involvement and engagement.
Provide ongoing support and signposting to relevant services internally or externally as required.
Planning and Organisation:
Assist in planning and organising project activities, ensuring resources and logistics are effectively managed.
Support in the monitor and recording of progress against project objectives, identifying challenges and contributing to solutions.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the Project Manager, team members, and external partners to ensure project goals are met.
Liaise with stakeholders, community members, and other organisations to promote the project and maintain positive relationships when required.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Keep accurate records of project activities and participant progress.
Assist in preparing reports for funders, management, or stakeholders, providing updates on project outcomes.
Administration:
Maintain organised and up-to-date records, including participant information, attendance logs, and project documentation.
Support administrative tasks such as bookings, invoicing, ordering supplies, and coordinating schedules for activities and events in support with the project Manager.
Respond to enquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing accurate information and assistance.
Health, Safety, and Safeguarding:
Ensure all project activities comply with organisational policies, including health and safety and safeguarding standards.
Report any safeguarding concerns in line with organisational procedures.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
Organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required (Some lone working is involved).
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to use technology packages like email, document creation and spreadsheets

Desirable Experience:
Knowledge of local community needs and resources.
Ability to use Microsoft platforms including Teams (training will be given)
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as required.
Willingness to undergo training relevant to the role, such as safeguarding or first aid.
You may be asked to work in different areas of the centre at times, to support projects and events
